McQueen was such a visionary. I really can not imagine anyone filling his shoes. He was truly one of a kind
fairphantom: McQueen’s most iconic show for the house of Givenchy – to which he was appointed head designer in 1996 – featured car-robots spraying paint over white cotton dresses and double amputee model Aimee Mullins taking to the catwalk on intricately carved wooden legs. McQueen parted ways with the fashion house in 2001.
